Our Digital Strategies (formerly IT) division and the
Houston Information Technology Services department (HITS) remotely send out
updates to our computers. These updates normally occur during off-hours. It is
very important that you leave on all computers (public, staff, circulation,
catalog, etc) in your area. Please do not turn off you computer when you leave
for the day. When the computers are not on, it is impossible for them to be
updated with important updates and security fixes. A major security fix will
take place today and it is imperative that all computers are on to get this
fix.
Please leave all computers on every day until further
notice. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our
