REMINDER: a customer does not need to wait 24 hours before they can re-check out a book

From Deputy Director of Customer Experience Michele Gorman:

Good afternoon guys. This email is to clarify an issue that I thought had been put to rest long before I got here.  HPL does NOT have a policy that says a customer must wait 24 hours before re-checking out a book they had previously checked out.  A book does not have to go back on the shelf before it can be checked out again by a customer.

If a customer returns a book and wants to check it out again all you need to do is check it in, and if there is not a hold on the book - the customer is then free to check it out again.

Thanks, and if you have any questions about this please let me know.

    Michele
